Training
Stacy came to Studeo55 at the beginning of April, 2007 and shared with us her dream to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for Alzheimer's. With no hiking experience, she was looking for guidance on what to do outside her regular cardiovascular routine to prepare for this expedition. With this goal as our guide, our team at Studeo55 has designed a customized program for Stacy. Initially we took her through our base line fitness testing regime to get an idea of her fitness level. We then analyzed this information, and created her program, which on a weekly basis, includes two personal training sessions with her trainer Matt, a yoga session with our instructor, Sarah, cardio workouts on her own, and some nutritional guidance from one of our nutritionists, Kelly.
Stacy has committed to this fitness program which has her working out five to six times each week. With Stacy’s unbelievably positive attitude and work ethic we have no doubt that she will be in tip top physical and mental shape to climb the mountain!
