Ashley McIntosh

Coaching individuals to wellness since 2004, Ashley brings to Living Excellence Training and Development, Inc a wealth of education and experience in nutrition, fitness, emotional and intuitive eating, and the underlying motives that cause people to commit to health for life. Moving beyond the bottom line, Ashley’s work in Living Excellence is filling the modern day need for the ever-elusive ”work-life balance”. Beyond the cliché, Ashley’s work truly does help someone to create this balance.

Graduating in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with distinction, Ashley continued her studies and completed the nutritional consulting program at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and the professional coaching program through Erickson College. In her work with the BC Eating Disorders Association, she conducted numerous workshops on body image, dieting, and the media to elementary and high school students. Ashley has facilitated workshops for various organizations such as Simon Fraser University, Golder & Associates, City Yoga, The Family Health Clinic, and Lululemon Athletica.

Currently a trainer at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Ashley teaches her students not only the details of a healthy diet and lifestyle but, more importantly, how they can ”make the details practical” by helping their clients incorporate healthy habits into their unique lives. Ashley also continues to facilitate workshops for a variety of organizations and companies.

Bringing her skills and talents as a facilitator and trainer, Ashley inspires her clients through a variety of means, including group sessions and one on one, both by meeting with them in person and over the telephone. Her most celebrated workshops include Mindful Bites: Making Health a Habit, Overcoming Obstacles: Owning Good Health, and Making it Practical: Nutrition at Work. As the principal wellness coach for Living Excellence, Ashley leads other coaches in bringing wellness into corporate cultures. Ashley’s Specialties

People Say:

“In a society obsessed with fad diets and food 'tricks' I had become confused and unsure about what was 'good' for my body. Ashley helped me establish a healthy relationship with food in a physical, mental, and emotional way. As I clear away my very loud emotional blocks connected with food I am finding that my body will tell me exactly what it needs if I listen. I am relearning how to communicate with my body. I have found that working externally on my food choices while simultaneously looking internally at the root of my food fears is leading me more and more towards a harmonious balance in my life. Working with Ashley has been invaluable in improving the overall quality of my life.”

”As a student at The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, I have had Ashley as a teacher for two subjects. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed her classes the most, as she passionately contributes an intuitive exploration of the human experience. She creatively combines knowledge with inner wisdom. Ashley's vulnerability in expressing her own fears and sharing her transformation is nothing less than courageous and inspires courage in others. Through her teaching, I have learned to trust my own intuition and embrace my deepest fears as my greatest gifts. I am so grateful to have received her light and contribution. Thank you Ashley!”

- Sunni Hunt,

”Ashley’s approach to her subject is stimulating and thought-provoking. She is engaging and personable. Ashley presentation is fun, while her approach to her subject is compelling. She invites us to consider our relationship with food in a way that stimulates thought and personal reflection. I cannot think of anyone who would not enjoy her workshops or benefit from her insights.”

- Don Millerd,
West Vancouver BC
